Do I Need Tooth Straightening Braces as an Adult?

Only you and your Dentist can determine if Braces are going to help you improve your Smile and bite in a way that is best for you, however for most Adults where it would take years to move and align the back teeth, this does not bother dults as much as the Front teeth being uneven or even in cross-bite, where the teeth overlap the wron way. Thus if your Back teeth OK to eat with and are stable, then just concentrating on straightening the front teeth so they are even and straight, can mean fixed braces may only have to be worn for 6 months or so, to get the desired result. Most Adults can put up with the inconvenience of wearing Braces for 6 months or so, but the idea of doing this for 2 or 3 years is often off-putting and many Adults will refuse this. However if you are looking for as perfect as possible Orthodontic result for your WHOLE mouth, including straightening the very back-teeth too, then a full course of Orthodontics lasting 2 or 3 years may well be for you, though even then a perfect result may not be as attainable as if the treatment was done when you were say 12 years old and still growing!

What do FastWhiteBraces™ Cost on average?

Well not as much as you think, if just one Arch is the problem (upper or lower) then this costs about £1990, including all visits for something that is more Cosmetic and works quicker than traditional metal fixed braces. If you wish upper and lower arches done together then the total is £2990 including all visits and will of course give a better overall result.

The only additional costs are those of Retention afterwards - whether these are fixed-wires glued behind the lower and upper front teeth, or removable splints that you have to wear every night to keep the teeth in their new straighter position, we charge the same, about £195 per case we've completed.

How do FastWhiteBraces™ Costs compare to Other Braces costs?

The costs are a little higher than standard all-metal Braces worn for some 2 years+ (normally £2000-£2500) and about the same costs as tooth-coloured brackets worn for 2 years, but cheaper than clear aligners like Invisalign, but Invisalign can take 3 years to complete, takes numerous visits by comparison and mainly tips teeth well, but struggles to rotate or move teeth vertically up and down, thus needing a longer time and the results may not be as good. A removable appliance with springs may only take 6-12 months treatment, but is bulkier in the mouth, can get more easily damaged or lost and again, mainly works by tipping teeth, so has it's limitations too.

Clearly there are a number of options to consider and not everyone is suitable for Adult Braces and there are other alternative treatments.
